Cooking Classes in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Queensland

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the area whilst you attend one of our cooking classes.  May we suggest you check out our nearby accommodation options.

Looking for a great cooking school in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland, that offers celebrity chefs (both local & interstate) whipping up wonderful culinary experiences?  Martin’s gorgeous outdoor kitchen and cooking classes are the answer.  The celebrity chef series was launched in 2009 and has since hosted many truly talented chefs, names such as  Adriano Zumbo, Adam D’Sylva, Matthew Kemp & Matt Wilkinson.

Freestyle’s intimate class sizes ensure the experience will provide each participant one-on-one time with the chef.  The kitchen was specially designed for cooking classes and has a backdrop of the whole of the sunshine coast hinterland.  It’s set amidst the rainforest and lovely birdsong is heard throughout the day.  Naturally you always finish the class with a Gourmet lunch and possibly  indulge in a vino or two.

The Feast at the end of the Cooking Class

All our classes include fresh ingredients used from our very own orchard, herb garden and vegetable garden.

The Orchard… A wonderful melange of fruit from native and exotic trees. Imagine lychees, longans, kumquats, pomegranates and grapes. Savour the fragrance of cloves, cinnamon, bay and kaffir lime leaves. Ever wondered what tea, coffee and carob plants look like? Take a stroll through our orchard!

The Herb and Vegetable Garden… Terraced on the slope with ocean and rainforest views, one can sit amongst a veritable feast of salad ingredients, edible flowers and herbs – smell, taste and harvest for lunch..
