Freestyle Escape Artists and Tutors

Sussanne Morton

Sussanne has been painting most of her life. Her style is mostly realistic. Working with acrylics or oils her subject matter is based on nature. The inspiringly beautiful forms, colours, textures and moods found in nature... things of beauty that resonate with her spirit and touch her soul.

Mixed mediums are used for her abstracts, and these are just pure expressionism, based on her feelings and emotions.
Her work has been selling throughout Qld and the Sunshine Coast for the past twenty years and more recently in Melbourne and now Denmark.

Sussanne has also been teaching the joys of painting and drawing to adults and children on the Sunshine coast for the past ten years. Her workshops cover many aspects of painting, from colour theory and brushstroke technique, to paint application methods and self expression and are suitable for the beginner or the more advanced.

Penelope Gilbert-NG

'I am a painter that is who I am. I have painted since I was 3 and for 53 years have studied, explored and enjoyed my learning processes on how I want to communicate visually the effect of light on my subjects to an audience. For me the shadows created by a light source are in a sense equally important in creating shapes, tone and composition required to paint an enjoyable painting. I paint in all mediums and love painting from life'.
